Maggies Fundraising Exhibition at Lyon & Turnbull Edinburgh

Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centre Edinburgh are honoured to host an exhibition and exclusive reception at Lyon & Turnbull, showcasing the work of renowned Scottish Artist Gerard M. Burns.

As well as a full selection of artwork direct from the studio, a number of new works are being created exclusively for the event, giving you the unique opportunity to invest in a piece of Gerard’s wonderful work whilst supporting the vital work of Maggie’s Edinburgh.

During supper and drinks, Gerard will talk about his work, his inspiration and some of the major pieces on show. 

It is fitting that Gerard has chosen Maggie’s Edinburgh for this exhibition as it was in Edinburgh where Maggie’s first opened its doors almost 30 years ago to help anyone diagnosed, living with or affected by cancer.

Gerard says

“I am delighted to have this opportunity to support the important work of Maggie’s Edinburgh via my artwork.  I am also super excited at the prospect of having my first solo Edinburgh exhibition in Lyon and Turnbull’s wonderful space right in the heart of the city…it promises to be a pretty amazing night all round.”

“We are thrilled and grateful that Gerard has chosen to exhibit his artwork in support of Maggie’s. Our vital services are almost entirely funded by voluntary donations. The funds raised at this event will be used to support people affected by a diagnosis of cancer in Edinburgh, Lothian and the Borders.
