Tuleen Boutaleb
Professor Tuleen Boutaleb came to Glasgow, from Algeria, when she was 19 and received BEng honours degree in Electronics Engineering and PhD degree in cellular mobile networks for telemetry from Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU), in 1995 and 2006, respectively. From 1995 to 2018, she had a number of roles as a researcher, lecturer and senior lecturer at the School of Computing, Engineering and Built Environment at GCU. She joined the School’s Management Group in 2018 as the Associate Dean International, followed by Head of Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and currently is the Vice Dean for the School.
Tuleen is an academic who is passionate about transforming the lives of school leavers and mature students through education, helping them find their perfect graduate job. Furthermore, she is keen on inspiring pupils in schools to consider a career in Science, Tech, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Glasgow and Scotland really needs the talent and skillset now and in the future.
