Abby Bodie was born in Oregon, USA, in October 1996 and moved to Glasgow in November 2021. Arriving from across the Atlantic, she found herself quickly embraced by the city and its people, forming a strong sense of belonging in a place far from home. Now 29, Abby’s experience reflects Glasgow’s capacity to welcome, hold, and nurture those who choose to build a life here.

“Glasgow welcomed me warmly when I moved here. Being part of Mother Glasgow allows me to give back something in return.” Through this exhibition, Abby’s contribution speaks to gratitude, connection, and the reciprocal relationship between city and citizen.
